Its a Boy!

I actually found this out a couple weeks ago, but forgot to put it on my blog. Even though I wanted a girl really bad, I'm happy to be getting a baby boy. The Cloths selection isn't nearly as big as the girls. But they have better toy. Clint is especially happy to be having a boy.

This is me at 20 weeks

I'm currently at 23 weeks, I feel like this pregnancy is going by so fast! I hear it will slow down once I get into my 3rd trimester. We are so excited for little Jack to arrive!

Annie is going to be a big sister!!

And no, i"m not getting another dog. I'm Pregnant! yay! I'm due April 7th. It will be interesting to see how Annie will react to a baby around the house since she's a pretty spoiled dog and she requires alot of attention.

As you can see in this picture while I was holding my niece she still found room on my lap.

Every one used to tell me that once I had a baby I will feel differently about Annie. No one has told me that in a while, I think that's because everyone is starting to realize how attached I am to her. I honestly can't imagine loving her any less. But we'll see how everything goes. I have actually been wondering if there is any way that they'll let her come to the hospital to come see me and the baby. lol, I don't think that's gonna happen.

Ok, so i just reread this post and I can only imagine what people are gonna think when they read this. The post was interned to tell everyone that I'm pregnant and completely turned out to be about Annie! haha. Yes I know, I'm a dork.

51 lbs!

Well I've lost 51 lbs so far! So excited that I'm almost to my goal weight. You can look at my before and now by clicking HERE. At the time I took my before picture, I thought, there is no way I'm going to show this to people. But I don't care anymore, that was the old me.

Well, I have 10 more lbs to reach my goal. But I already feel better than I've ever felt! I hope to reach my goal by my Birthday, August 14Th. Than I get to go shopping! because I do need a new wardrobe! I'm down to 2 pair of shorts and 1 pair of jeans, the jeans I bought about 5 years ago, and they are a little worn. My shorts are actually a little to big for me, but they aren't falling off yet so they'll work until I go shopping.

I only wish this program existed long ago. One thing that separates this from all the rest is that every thing is laid out for you. They have meal plans for every week of exactly what you need to eat. And its good simple food. They also teach you how to prep your meals. I prep all my meals on Saturday or Sunday, and the rest of the week I just have to pull it out of the fridge.

If you want to try it out go to kristiapproved.com and do the 7 day challenge. If you do it let me know how it goes! I lost 5 lbs in the first week. Oh they also have a work out plan that goes with the program. I used to work out before i did this program but was never as consistent as I am now.

And if you decide to do the 7 day challenge, watch these you tube videos from Kristi and Trish about meal prep.

Also, some of my other favorite things about the program is any time I had a question I emailed them and would get a response back within the hour. There where a couple times when I got really discouraged because maybe I didn't lose weight that week and they would call me and talk to me for a while. They also send you weekly news letters. Its just great because if for some reason somethings not working for you they are always there to help.

Also, they have seminars all the time, so if you want learn more about the program and you live in Utah, or are going to be here sometime let me know and I'll go with you. The next one is this Wednesday in Lindon, I'll be there so let me know if you want to go too.

Where a grown up can be a kid

Disney World!! In June me and Clint went to Disney world. It was a blast!
Yes, this is me getting an autograph, I told Clint that since I never did this as a child I wanted to get an autograph book and get autographs. Meeting the characters was one of my favorite parts.
One of the only times Clint will let me drive
while he's in the car.

We went to all the parks and one water park.

Clint got sick one day, good thing that was a designated pool day! This is him laying by the pool. He would rather have been laying in the hotel room, but we were switching hotel days and we were in between checking out of the old one and checking in to the new one.

I love how all the carters pose for the pictures on the rides!

We also went to sea world. Feeding the dolphins was my favorite part of the whole trip!
Well this was my first trip to Disney World, but I'm sure it won't be my last, this is Clint's favorite vacation spot. And his dream is actually to get a job for Disney when he graduates. We'll see if that works out.

I heart my doggy

Me and Annie like to hike the Y every once in a while. Well actually I like to hike the Y and Annie likes to go where ever I go. But I don't think she likes hiking very much. The first time we hiked it i stopped for a second and she just laid on the dirt and decided she was done hiking. It was so cute, so I picked her up and carried her the rest of the way up. And then after that I would just pick her up once I thought she was tired. Well, she's now learned that she has the option of me carrying her so this last time not to long after we started up the hill she turned around for me to carry her. What a spoiled little dog. I carried her most of the way up, and even most of the way down. But its ok she only weighs 5lbs. And I love her. And I don't think I will ever be able to spoil my children the way I spoil her.

Sometimes I imagine myself running and pushing my baby in a jogger. And I know Annie can't keep up when I go on runs, so she is also in the jogger next to my child.

I took this picture when I was doing some ab workouts, after Annie realized I wasn't on the ground to play with her she just sat there and stared at me. Shes so cute!

My 1/2 marathon

So I get "Fitness" magazine in the mail every month. I never read it. It has pretty much the same info in every issue. But one month I glanced at the cover and read "train for a 1/2 marathon in 8 weeks". and I thought, "ok". I thought maybe if I did something like this it would speed up my weight loss (it didn't). So I looked to see if there was a 1/2 marathon in my area close to 8 weeks away. I found one that was exactly 8 weeks away. And my sister in law Stefani said she would do it with me.

This is us after the race

About a couple weeks into the training my right leg started to hurt. I thought if I just ran through the pain it would go away. That's how it used to happen anyway. A couple weeks before the race I ran 10 miles after that it really started hurting. So I went in to get it looked at just to make sure I was still ok to run. They did a bone scan and the dr said it was almost a stress fracture and that I probably should do the 1/2 marathon but I could if I really wanted to. I had already paid for it so I decided to run it. He just told me not to run until then and not to run 8 weeks after. So I pretty much trained 6 weeks had a 2 week break and then ran a 1/2 marathon. I would not recommend this. Also I wouldn't recommend doing something like this if your trying to lose weight. Wait until you get to your goal and then do it. the days that I did my long runs I gained weight. After burning over a thousand calories in my work outs it was really hard not to eat everything in sight. I wear a heart rate monitor that tells me how many calories I burn and during the actual 1/2 marathon I burned 2000 calories. I think I gained a couple lbs that week end.

Before and almost after

Well, a couple of people asked to see pictures of me now. And just so you can see the difference I decided to put in my before picture.

And here is the before. I debated on if I should put this picture up, I'm so disappointed that I ever let myself get this bad. But it is what it is.

And this is me now. I still have about 25 more lbs to go! and when I get there I'll be sure to post more pictures!

30 lbs and counting!

Actually 34.5. Yup, I've lost 34.5 lbs so far! (its been 18 weeks) I still want to lose 25 more lbs and I'll be at my goal weight. If you want to know how I did it you can go to http://kristiapproved.com/. Lately I've been getting super annoyed when people tell me that I don't have 25 more lbs to lose. I don't know if their trying to be polite or if that's really how they see it. But I'm tall so I carry my weight well. But I will not rest until I look like this!

I decided that I really want to lose the rest of my weight before June. So my goal is to lose 5 lbs a week. I don't know how realistic this is but if the people on biggest loser can do it then so can I, right? So I plan on working out for 20 minutes after work (I already work out about 1-2 hrs in the morning) Not cheating at all until June. Yesterday I did have an Oreo and felt pretty guilty about it. And then at work every hour I'll do 10 push ups and 30 second plank. Every time i try to do this I only make it until about 1:00 or 2:00. anyway its going to rough 5 weeks, wish me luck!

Bye Bye Biscuit

Biscuit is Clint's childhood dog. His family got her when he was 11, and today they had to put her down because she was too old (14 yrs).

In Biscuit's early years she loved to play tug a war, she loved to play in the snow, and she loved Mt. dew. We will miss her!

Annie

Well, my new years goal of updating my blog at least once a week isn't really working out for me. But I'll keep trying.

Anyway, below is a video of Annie marking her territory. Every time there is another dog around she has to mark her territory where they pee, and she always does it while walking on her two front legs. Its the funniest thing!

The other dog in the Video is Clint's family's dog, they have had her since Clint was 11. We had Biscuit for about a month this winter. She's really old and probably won't be a round for much longer, so it was really good to have her come visit! Even though Annie got a little bit jealous when Biscuit would get more attention than her I think she liked having a Friend around while we were at work.

Live the life update

Well I am on week 5 of live the life and I just wanted to let you all know how it’s going. I've lost 11 1/2 lbs so far (yay!). And I haven't had sugar since I started or anything else I'm not supposed to have, I also haven’t missed a work out day yet. I'm so proud of myself. I've never stuck to anything like this for this long. The first 3 weeks were really hard, but since then I haven't really had as many cravings. I don't really miss sugar. The thing I miss most is Cafe Rio. I've had a couple dreams that I ate Cafe Rio and I woke up feeling completely guilty. Once I lose all my weight I'm going to stay on this diet, but I will treat myself to a Cafe Rio salad.

The Speech

2 of my biggest fears are mice and speaking in front of people. I realize these are impractical, but I HATE when people use this information against me. I can’t stand the sight of a mouse, a picture, even a cartoon mouse grosses me out. I love the movie enchanted, but I close my eyes during the mouse part. But the Cinderella mice are ok because they where cloths and walk upright, and their tails are like stings.
I hate speaking in front of people in any situation. I just got called to be a sunbeam teacher a few months ago and I was pretty nervous the first couple weeks. It helps that they don’t really listen.
Well, the guys at work like to use this information against me. I blame Troy (my brother, also my boss). Well back in December right before our Christmas party I was told by a co-worker Cameron (he would be like the Darrel of the office) that Greg (HR) and D (owner) wanted me to give a speech at our Christmas party. So I immediately called Greg to find out what was going on. He had said that because I was employee of the year last year that they wanted me to give a speech on being employee of the year. And I was like, no. But then he was like well you have to because then it will mess up the whole program if you don’t. And then we had like a 10 minute conversation about how I can’t give speeches and it would just be horrible. I was about 95% sure it was just a joke because I could hear Greg trying not to laugh. But there was still that 5% that I wasn’t sure. And Greg asked for a rough draft to be emailed to him by the end of the day. I thought about just writing up something funny, but then I remembered I can’t really write. And then I tried to think of some funny speeches that I might be able to find online. And then I remembered the funniest speech of all. Dwight’s speech from the office. I printed it out just in case they were going to make me do something. And they did. It was all just a joke, but they made me give the speech anyway. And after I was done Greg was like “oh, you didn’t have to do that”.
Well, it’s a funny speech, and I t would have been funnier if I could have done it with a straight face, and if I knew how to pronounce the word “acquiesce”.
Here it is, enjoy! (I added a couple more fist bangs)
BLOOD ALONE MOVES THE WHEELS OF HISTORY! [pause] Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of meditation - which everyone finds during the day - how long we have been striving for greatness? [bangs fist] Not only the years we've been at war the war of work but from the moment as a child, when we realize the world could be conquered. It has been a lifetime struggle [bang's fists again] a never-ending fight, I say to you [bangs again] and you will understand that it is a privilege to fight. WE ARE WARRIORS! [applause] Salesmen of north-eastern Pennsylvania, I ask you once more rise and be worthy of this historical hour. [even bigger applause as Dwight gives a horrible sounding laugh] No revolution is worth anything unless it can defend itself. Some people will tell you salesman is a bad word. They'll conjure up images of used car dealers, and door to door charlatans. This is our duty to change their perception. I say, salesman and women of the world... unite. We must never acquiesce, for it is together... TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL. WE MUST NEVER CEDE CONTROL OF THE MOTHERLAND...FOR IT IS TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL!
Oh, and for the white elephant gift exchange I ended up with a mouse trap!

Happy New Year!

I love the holidays but I'm glad they're over. Time to set some new goals, and this year I will actually accomplish them! Me and Clint set a few goals together and a couple separate. 2 of my main goals are to lose weight (always) and to blog more.

So losing weight... this is something I've been trying to do since I started gaining weight, about 4 years ago. So I work out and I eat pretty healthy, but I have a problem with portion control and cheating on the week ends, my week ends start Friday, sometimes Thursday :). So I started a new program about a week and a half ago. And since I started it I realized how much I used to cheat before. Eating a little junk food here and a little there, it adds up. So I started this program called "live the life". So far I have lost 5 1/2 lbs and have not cheated! Anyway I'm so excited about this and my goal is to not cheat at all for at least 12 weeks. When my 12 weeks is up I'm still going to keep this diet up but I will eat a Cafe Rio chicken salad when I reach my 12 week mark. I love Cafe Rio so much I used to eat it every week. The other day I went to Cafe Rio to get Clint lunch. He loves it as much as I do but I told him he couldn't have it in the house right now so I brought it to his work for lunch. As I walked in I felt like an acholic walking into a bar :).

My next goal is to blog more. I find myself getting annoyed with some peoples blogs when they never update. But I never update, so I can't really talk. So i decided since I have a blog I need to use it. So I'm going to blog at least once a week. I'm not sure what I'm going to blog about that often, but I'm sure
