Sad day...

All week I've been excited for today, because I was going to announce some exciting news. At the beginning of October I found out that I was Pregnant. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. We had been trying for 10 months. Which is nothing compared to how long a lot of people have to try. But it finally happened, we were going to have a baby in June.

This morning I had my 2nd Dr's appointment, he went to hear the heart beat and he couldn't find it. He said that sometimes happens because 12 weeks is the earliest you can hear the heart beat. So we went to the ultra sound room to see if he could see the heart beat. When he did the ultra sound, he said he measured the baby at 9 1/2 weeks, I was supposed to be 12 weeks along. And he couldn't see the heart beat. He told me I had a "missed miscarriage". So, I had a miscarriage, but my body didn't recognize it, so my baby is still inside of me, but its not alive. So on Friday I'll go in for a D&C.

When I hit about 9 1/2-10 weeks, i noticed I started feeling a lot better, I wasn't nauseous anymore, or tired, I didn't feel pregnant anymore. I thought I was lucky and my first trimester symptoms had ended early. Before I started feeling better, I felt like crap and I couldn't wait for it to be over. But right now, I can't wait to feel like crap again!

I do believe that this happened for a reason, and I'll have a baby when I'm supposed to. And now I'm just trying to focus on the positive side of things. Before we got pregnant we were planning on going to Disney world in June, and now we can go. Even though I'd rather have a baby then go to Disney World. I'm glad this happened now, and not while I was further along. And I hear that after you get pregnant once its easier to get pregnant again.

If you know me very well, you know that I can't keep a secret, especially when it's exciting news. So when I found out I was pregnant, we told immediate family, a couple Friends, and people at work (it's especially hard to keep secrets from people I see every day). So I decided to blog about this to let everyone who knew I was pregnant know that I'm not now. I didn't want to have to explain this a bunch of times. So now I've learned my lesson and next time I won't tell people until I'm further along. Even though its fun to tell people exciting news, It sucks even more to tell people bad news.

Our Summer part 2 of 2

Well I'm a couple months late.. but at least the 2nd post is here now. And now that I'm posting about something that happened a couple months ago, I don't remember alot of details, but I'll do my best.

This is my skinny picture. you wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't tell you, but I'm biting my cheeks so i look skinnier. I took a couple of these and my sisters thought it was funny, so i thought i would share.

So in August my sister Sarina and her family drove to Utah from Connecticut, which was really exciting because they don't come here very often. Also my other Sister Angie moved out to Utah. And my brothers came down from Idaho Falls for a weekend. So we had the whole family here except for my sister Kim and her family in Hawaii. Well, it was alot of fun. Like I said earlier, I don't remember alot of details. But I do remember there was some baseball a little volleyball, and some BBQ's. And I don't remember much else.

My niece with Annie. Annie is scared of most of my nieces and nephews, I think because they aren't around dogs very much and she can sense that by the way they chase her. But I think Halli has more dog expeirience so Annie wasn't as scared of her.

I think the highlight of my summer is when Lexie and Abby re-inacted Taylor Swift's video of "you belong with me". I tried to upload the video but it wouldn't work. It was very entertaining for me.

Then there was more singing. Justin and Sarina Sang while Justin played his guitar. I tried to join in but everyone told me to stop.

Well this all lasted a couple weeks and we ended it with a BBQ at Brittany's.
The end

Our Summer part 1 of 2

Well, this summer we had a lot of family stuff going on. It was fun, its always good to see family. First we had our Carter family reunion. Every one made it except for Clint's brother Lance and his wife Carlynn. They decided to have a baby instead. The baby turned out pretty cute, so I guess it was worth it.

We are on our way to the Uintas.
Annie loves to look out the window.

She also loves to cuddle.

So I didn't take a lot of pictures, and I really wish I did, I'm going to work on that. The little pictures that we did take were mostly of Annie. Anyway, for the carter family Reunion we went camping in the Uintas for half the week and bear lake for the rest of the week. Next time someone says, "hey, lets go camping for a week". I'm going on a cruise or something because camping is not my idea of a vacation. Not anymore anyway. My husband has turned me into a city girl! I used to be able to "rough it" like no other! but the first night we arrived in the Uintas we couldn't figure out how to put the tent up that we borrowed from my brother Troy. See, we figured we were camping for a week so instead of using our little 4 man tent we would use Troy's tent that we could actually stand up in. But we couldn't put it up, luckily Clint's dad had an extra tent. Unluckily it was a 3 man tent. but at least we didn't have to sleep outside. Our air mattress took up the whole tent. It was pretty much the worst night of my life, by the time we woke up in the morning our air mattress had completely deflated. And it was freezing cold. So spending the rest of the week in a 3 man tent and no air mattress was not an option. The next day we went to Evanston (an hour drive) to get a 7 man tent and an air mattress. It was much better. We figured even though we won't be camping much in the future, since I've learned I no longer enjoy it, we could use it for ward camps and other times when we are forced to camp (like family reunions). So that was the Uintas. By the way even though it was July it was cold like 90% of the time up there (Clint thought it was hot), and there were like a bazillion mosquito's.

It was freezing cold at night. We used like 6 blankets/sleeping bags. Even Annie got cold so she climbed under the blankets to keep warm.
Bear like was much better. Except for the fact that I got sun burnt really bad the first day. Which was completely my fault. See, I decided that I wanted to be tan, so i bought a sunscreen with low SPF, I think it was like 15. And I just thought I would put it on often and I wouldn't get sun burnt, but i would still get tan. It didn't work, I'm pretty sure it was just water that I was continuously spraying on my body.

So at bear lake we spent time on the boat and on the beach just hanging out. The good thing about camping is you have no other choice but to spend time with each other. It was good to hang out with the family. Clint has a couple brothers and a sister that live out of state so we don't get to see them that often. So it was really good to spend time with everyone.
Now here are some pictures. I did take more pictures of the family and the adorable nieces and nephews, but it was all on the beach, and due to all the sick freaks out there I didn't feel comfortable putting pictures of little kids in their bathing suits on my blog. And yes, it is kind of weird that I take so many pictures of my dog. But until we have kids, she is my baby. By the way... we are working on getting a baby.
This is Annie trying to find shade where ever she can
.
This is Annie and Clint's brothers dog Indiana,
he goes by Indi for short. they were BFF's.
they got a little too friendly at times.
But last time we saw them Annie was playing hard to get.
Clint's favorite part of the trip, wake boarding.
Annie got her head stuck in the chip bag.
Annie all wet and cute
Ok, So this was the cutest thing ever. Annie hates the water. When we first got on the boat I was going to take Annie with me. but she started freaking out when I got in the water. So I left her on the beach. So after we were out on the water for a while we came back to the beach and when Annie saw us she got all excited. and she swam to us! It was so cute because you could tell she didn't want to get in the water, but she wanted to be with us. This dog has serious separation issues, but I love it! I love that she needs us.
Well, its way past my bedtime, so tomorrow I'll write about the rest of our summer.

And they said it couldn't be done...

Clint said that I wouldn't be able to teach Annie tricks. He said she would only dance. But yesterday I taught her to sit! Usually when I have a treat in my hand, she freaks out and keeps dancing until I give it to her. But I taught her to sit, and she did it again this morning. I'm going to practice the trick all week and try to teach her another trick next week.

She's Here...

Well Annie has arrived and we love having her. And I think she loves being here. She's been pretty spoiled so far. Every time we get home from work she goes crazy until we take her for a walk. Its pretty funny. Last week I took her to work to show her off and I was going to bring her right back home, but it was Friday afternoon so I decided to let her stay. And she was pretty good.

This is her favorite blanket to lay on.

She likes to hide under the bed for some reason.

She knows that her treats are in the pantry so every time we get something out of the pantry to stands on her hind legs waiting for a treat. Its so cute so most of the time we give her a treat.

This is Annie dancing (she mostly just spins around, but its really cute).

NEW HOUSE!

Well it is official. We are home owners. We are all moved in and unpacked, it is a great feeling to be in a place of our own. There are still minor things to still do though, for instance we don't have any blinds put up yet. But it is still very exciting, also joining our family is a cute little dog named Annie. We have adopted her from mom and dad(Carter). But that is about all that is going on for us in the past month. We will try to keep you up to date for the month of June.

This is moving day, Troy and the boys were a lot of help.

Levi loved playing on Marnae's scooter. In the picture he is actually making motorcycle sounds. It was very funny to watch.

Last thing, Clint's birthday was over a month ago. He is now 25, Marnae was a little disappointed that he chose to eat pizza and mountain dew for his birthday dinner.

Winter '09

Well we figured it was about time to update our blog yet again. There really isn't much to update on. Clint is going to classes and working full-time. However; we tried to get out and have some fun in the snow. We had the opportunity to go with Troy and do some snowmobiling. It was alot of fun to be able to get out and enjoy the snow and outdoors.

We were even able to go see the Utah Jazz play. Clint is very proud of the fact that he has made Marnae a Jazz fan. She will occasionally even watch the games and get into them. If you ask her she name can multiple players. Her favorite player is Kyle Korver, while Clints is Deron Williams and Ronnie Price.

That's about all we have been up to this winter. We are both excited for spring to be here but sad to see the snow melt. We have alot of things planed this summer and we will keep all up to date.

Christmas!!!

Even though Christmas was about one month ago, we figured we should give everyone an update. We had the chance to spend Christmas with Clint's parents. It was alot of fun and we had a great time. Marnae received a new digital camera, and Clint got a bunch of movies. Clint had a great time playing with the dogs, they wore him out.
